Chest (Polos & Gym Shirts):

S 38–39" · M 40–42" · L 43–45" · XL 46–48" · 2XL 49–52"

Between sizes?
Prefer a fitted look: pick the lower size (except mid-layers).
Prefer a relaxed feel or plan to layer: go one size up (especially for mid-layers).
Fabric Tech & Materials
What fabrics do you use?
Polos & Gym Shirts: Performance knits (typically 88% Polyester / 12% Elastane) for stretch, breathability and moisture-wicking comfort.
Mid-Layers (MAVAM/MAVSTAR): Flexible technical blends (typically 78% Polyester / 22% Elastane) for warmth without bulk and smooth mobility.
Shorts: Durable stretch with recovery (e.g., 90% Nylon/Polyester / 10% Elastane depending on style) to move freely through your swing and training.
Headwear: Structured, breathable builds with internal sweatband/inner ribbon for comfort.
Do your garments offer sun protection?
Selected items include SPF 20 protection. Check the “Features & Performance” section on each product page.
Care & Washing
How should I wash EMEL performance garments?
Wash cold on a gentle cycle (or hand wash).
Use mild detergent; avoid fabric softeners (they can impact wicking).
Air-dry flat or on a hanger; avoid tumble drying where possible.
Do not iron over logos/graphics.
How do I care for caps?
- Spot clean or hand wash cold with mild detergent.
- Air-dry flat; avoid tumble drying.
- Store with the brim supported — don’t crush or fold.

Golf Dress Code & Etiquette (EMEL Sport Style)
Are EMEL polos acceptable at most golf clubs?
Yes. Our polos (SEMBOS, SPINA, SIGOMOS) are collared, course-ready and designed to meet traditional standards while keeping a modern, Maverick profile.
Can I wear EMEL gym shirts on the course?
Generally no for official play at traditional clubs (most require collared polos). EMEL gym shirts are perfect for practice ranges, training, travel, and layering under quarter-zips — switch to an EMEL polo for tee time.
Are EMEL golf shorts allowed under typical club rules?
Yes. ICON Golf Shorts are tailored and above-the-knee — the silhouette most clubs expect. Avoid cargo pockets or overly long/relaxed fits.
Do shirts need to be tucked in?
Many clubs prefer or require polos to be tucked. EMEL polos are cut to look sharp tucked or untucked, but if you’re unsure, tuck it in for starters.
What about caps — any rules?
Structured caps like ICON, MOTIF, ONAMA are widely accepted. Wear the brim forward on course and remove your cap inside the clubhouse unless the venue says otherwise.
Can I wear a quarter-zip mid-layer instead of a jumper?
Absolutely. Our MAVAM and MAVSTAR quarter-zips are designed for smart, slim layering and are club-friendly. Keep the look clean (no hoodies at traditional clubs).
Are bold graphics and textures allowed?
Yes — if considered. EMEL uses refined placements (shoulder armour, spine line) and textured embossing that keep outfits premium, not loud. Always check your club’s policy on graphic size/placement.
What colours are safest for stricter clubs?
Navy, black, ice white are universally accepted. Add a controlled pop like EMIL Green if the club vibe is more modern.
Socks & footwear — any guidance?
Stick to golf shoes (soft spikes or spikeless) and neutral socks that complement your outfit. Colour-blocked performance socks are usually fine if they’re not distracting.
Are jeans or joggers allowed on course?
Typically no. Choose tailored shorts or golf trousers. Joggers and denim are usually limited to driving ranges or off-course settings.
Can I wear EMEL mid-layers in the bar/restaurant after my round?
Yes — our quarter-zips are designed to go course → clubhouse. If the venue is formal, unzip over a collared polo and you’re still on code.
Rainy/windy day: what’s the dress-code-friendly plan?
Layer a collared polo under a quarter-zip, add a waterproof shell if needed. Keep silhouettes slim and colours cohesive (e.g., navy/white or black/ice white).
Practice day vs competition — does the code change?
Many clubs relax for the range and practice greens (gym shirts, training shorts may be fine). For competitions and busy weekend tee sheets, assume full dress code (polo + tailored shorts/trousers + structured cap).
Do I need a belt?
If your shorts have loops, a simple belt helps the look read tailored. Match belt tones to footwear or cap for a clean, intentional finish.
Quick outfit checks before you tee off
Collared polo (tucked if required)
Tailored shorts or trousers
Quarter-zip for shoulder-season rounds
Structured cap (brim forward)
Colours coordinated; logos considered
Tip: When in doubt, check your club’s local rules. EMEL’s core golf pieces are designed to pass most dress codes while keeping your Maverick identity front and centre.
